Manufacturer's Product Description:
DP Max Wax is made of pure No.1 grade yellow carnauba from Brazil and engineered polymers to create a wet, glossy shine that lasts longer than carnauba alone. The wax is a soft, pliable paste that goes on like butter and wipes off just as effortlessly. The shine created is nothing short of beautiful. Any color paint will appear deeper and richer with every coat of Max Wax. The addition of VOC compliant polymers allows the wax to bond to the paint for longer lasting protection. Carnauba wax provides UV protection, as well as resistance to acid rain and contamination. Your vehicle will be protected for up to 2 months in ideal climates.

Price: $29.99 (purchase price was $16.99 due to $19.99 sale price and 15% Autogeek Forums sign up coupon code)

Packaging Info:
Packaging was fairly simple. The wax comes in a white tub with a screw top cap. The label is a typical DP with pleasant graffics and good directions. Unlike some other brands no applicator is included with this wax (which is fine I have plenty :D ).

Color/Scent:
Max Wax is light yellow in color, but goes on clear. Max Wax smells like . . . well . . . wax.

How I used it:
Max Wax was applied in a wax-on, wax-off method using a Meguiar's yellow foam applicator and a cobra indigo polishing cloth (these are great if you haven't tried them).

Thoughts:
I really liked the results I got with Max Wax. It was very easy on and very easy off. Being that it sells for about the same price as P21S most of my comparisons were against that wax. The MW was definitely wetter and provided much more flake pop than the P21S. MW also left a pretty slick finish (for a wax at least) especially considering no claying or polishing was done before hand. Reflectivity was good but not outstanding. For this price and below, this is one of the better waxes I've used. For the $16.99 I actually paid this was an outstanding bargain.

Another review. With pic's!! nice to see them

Have used a lot of different carnuabas this past winter. I was surprised to read your comparisons to P21S. It was the best of the Carnuabas in my personal test this past winter. Having said this it sounds like high praise to give MW a better score than P21S. Looks like you found a winner for quality and a steal at the price you paid for it.:)

Yeah. I felt like the old test mule could use a coat of wax after enduring the rinseless wash compare-o. I have to say my car was pretty jealous that it wasn't getting the same attention.

I was actually thinking of posting reviews for the cobra towels and my new power washer too, but my fingers are getting tired from typing.:D

Aww man, another carnauba that I won't be able to pass up! Like many others in this City, I have a thing for quality carnauba no matter how many I already have. Nice review and the car looks great Mikeyc!

I think this makes 8 or 9 LSPs for me now. I just couldn't pass up such a low price on Max Wax.

When you say it smells like wax, does that mean it smells like #16 (or the original Natty's in the Muppets tin, if you tried that)? Just wondering because its supposed to smell like crayons, which smell like wax.

I think DP Max Waq smells like coconut, Souveran or Natty's wax.

Mike,
You did a kick A** job. The paint looks to be real wet with a soft glow. the same reflection you would see as if you were looking into a pond of water.i think you really showed off what the DP Max Wax can do with lighter colour paint..

Thanks Joe! It's rare that you can just put a layer of wax on and see such a difference in the finish. The next day the car looked even wetter and more reflective. It left the paint looking really "warm" and glowing.

Max Wax smells like wax almost like an unscented candle. Natty's I think smells like bubble gum or something like that. Poorboys adds scents to almost all their products which is a really nice touch IMO. As long as the stuff doesn't smell bad though I'll use it.

dang I think it looks pretty darn reflective and sharp - is that a cayanne? (probably murdered the spelling)
