Product Review: CarPro Spotless

Introduction:
Ever since “coatings” have come out there has been one seemingly constant and nagging problem with them. Most of them bead water to such a degree that they have a tendency to create water spots as the water dries. On sealant and waxes most people were not as worried because you could polish it off and re-apply your wax. But with coatings you spent all that time and money on them and you really don’t want to have to strip it off and re-apply. Enter CarPro Spotless, a water spot & mineral remover developed specifically to do the job while still maintain the integrity of our coatings. When Spotless came out I knew that I needed to try it as my BLACK truck sits outside 24/7 while being coated. So the water spotting problems are very prevalent on the roof and hood.

Product Description / Claims:
Spotless paint is a beautiful thing, but it is difficult to maintain in a world of hard, mineral-laden water without constant polishing. CarPro Spotless chemically breaks down the mineral deposits left behind by water droplets (Otherwise known as ‘water spots’) before they can etch into the finish, thus negating the need for time consuming abrasive correction, and prolonging the life of the paint. If left unattended, water spotting can cause permanent damage to the most resilient of vehicle surfaces, including automotive clear coat, bright work trim, and glass! Even sealants and coatings are not fully impervious to some harsh mineral deposits and can benefit from periodic chemical water-spot removal to keep them at the peak of their functional and aesthetic performance. Spotless’s proprietary blend of carefully balanced gentle acids safely removes heavy mineral deposits on most vehicle surfaces, and can even be used to help maintain our CQuartz line of nanotechnology coatings. If you are looking for a fast and efficient water-spot remover to dissolve unsightly bonded mineral contaminants from your car or motorcycle, CarPro Spotless is the solution to your problems.

Features:
  • Advanced balanced-acid formula safely dissolves hard-water deposited mineral residues before etching can occur.
  • Developed to quickly remove damaging water spots on both single-stage and clear-coated paint finishes.
  • Excellent for use on glass
  • Safe on chrome, stainless steel, plastic, and rubber trim
  • Compatible and safe for use on all CQuartz Nano-Coatings.

  • It works…
  • Price
  • No need for compounding to remove water spots

Cons:
  • Acidic solution that can irritate skin and eyes.

Questions:
  • What happens if you don’t get Spotless totally neutralized or removed?

Final Thought / Summary:
Based on my testing Spotless is the real deal. It quickly and easily helps to remove water spots and minerals without the need to pullout a polisher. It is the first water-spot remover that works without a lot of scrubbing or elbow grease. In my opinion if you have a coating where you get spotting or just bad water spots on glass or your paint of your uncharted vehicle you need to try CarPro Spotless.

I also have some videos in process that I will add to this review in the future. Thanks for looking.

Every once in a while you get a product that lives up to its claims, after using this a few times I can say it truly gets the job done. Might be ordering a bigger supply when the bottle I got now runs out. I was a little surprised by the smell and how potent it was, but its nothing that you cant deal with.

Excellent review!

I've even used it on my clear glass shower doors and it removed build up and soap scum with just a wipe.

Great review Troy !!! I can't wait to give this a try. Great tip on the shower Merlin. I have the perfect test for it !!!

I actually took a whiff straight from the bottle and was surprised at a fairly pleasant Citrus scent.

Thanks for your review, Troy. Curious if this product will damage uncoated body panels.

Based on the description I believe you can use it on vehicle that have water spotting but are only protected with sealants / waxes as well. But it will affect / remove the protection and you will need to reapply your LSP after use. The one thing that is think is very important and is included on the CarPro copy in the description: "Immediately wipe off the remaining product residue with a soft Microfiber Towel, and rinse the surface thoroughly to neutralize the solution." For me this is a very important point and something I would follow at all times when using an acidic solution no matter the product. If used as per the directions and with some added safety percautions I believe Spotless is another great tool and much easier than having to pull out a polisher.

Seems like a nice product. Is it grabby at all? I would be afraid of marring.

It wasn't grabby for me until the applicator needed more product. Basically it wasn't any more grabby than when applying wax and your applicator gets a little to dry and needs re-loaded.

This has been on my to try list for a bit now. Thanks for sharing!

Not a problem.

Very nice review, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Todd.

Excellent review!

Thanks Merlin.

I plan on using it on somme of my exterior windows and sliding glass doors that have spotting as well.

Thanks Pat.

Troy,

You sold me. This will be on my next order!

Really need a water spot remover. My Wife's MDX was pelted by sprinklers before the winter and they have been a eye sore for me since.

Thanks for the solid, illustrated review.

Superior review Troy! I was going to use it today, but glad I didn't since I now have your review to guide me. Could I use Spotless, and then wash it off with a hose rather than wipe it with a towel? I was planning on doing it before I washed, so I hate to "dry" the area just to spray it with the hose a moment later.

I look forward to your video and any potential updates. Thanks for your effort!

Thanks

Yes, you can (should) rinse Spotless off with a hose. I used a towel and Eraser for my photos / testing due to being on a platform working on the roof of the truck. I pulled the hose out afterwards for a rinse and wash.

No

IMO when you quote something it helps to reference everything surrounding for contexts especially when it is the middle of a paragraph / description.

In this area I am pulling the Product Description / Claims straight from the Company description as is my normal in all my product reviews. You can see this also on CarPro-US.

I thought so, but if you used a different type/highlighted or color it would be easier to distinguish what is copied and what words are yours. :)

Thanks for your input. I think your right and will try and adjust my future reviews accordingly. Thanks :bigups

Solutions requested. I tried this on my clear glass shower door and walls. It worked well on the hard water stains and spots. Problems noted: the MF cloth seemed to be just a little grabby when drying and then I noticed very fine fibers stuck to the glass. Cotton towel removed these ok.
Now the big problem. During and after showering, when the glass is damp or fogged, the areas sprayed are very apparent. ie, big globs with running drips.
No luck getting these off, with reapplications or with glass cleaner.

I would guess the "very fine fibers" are linting from your MF towel.

Since it was an interior glass shower door: Is it possible there was an anti-fog coating that you may have removed? I would re-apply to the entire door and let it dwell and then rinse it off. Then the next thing would be to re-seal the glass with a glass sealant. I re-apply a sealant in my shower when it starts to show wear and it doesn't clean up a easy.
