Product Review: Amazing Roll Off

I received my new bottle of Amazing Roll Off. I use it specifically for my wheels wells and my engine bay. It is a little cold here in ohio so for this review I only used it on the wheel wells. The engine bay will need to wait until the weekend.
As you can see in the before pics I live in Rural Ohio (AKA: Amish Country). So my vehicles can get very messy in a short period of time. I was hoping Amazing Roll Off would help me to clean everything easier and still get a nice shine.

Conclusion:
This product work just like it says. I sprayed it on to the dirt and it's almost like it melted away. It also left a slight shine. Not bad for a spray on cleaner. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an easier way to clean their wheel wells without any elbow grease. I hope to update this post soon as to how well it helps to repel dirt and the ease of future cleanup.

I've never known it to repel dirt or make future cleanups any easier. As far as the best cleaner I've ever used it is indeed the King. I agree with your findings. I had a fishing boat interior to do about five years ago. It was white textured fiberglass and covered in dried fish blood, I mean covered! Without ARO I would still be there scrubbing on it.

I've used it and it works, but so do many others products that are far less expensive. I never take my cars to places to get that nasty, so an extreme cleaning product doesn't fit in my closet.

I have other less expensive products that work well.

Troy, was that a straight solution?

I have tried using ARO at 1:1 and found it not to work as good if you use it straight. I also know that it is water activated.

Nothing quite as fragrant and enjoyable as cleaning used oats off the wells and undercarriage, is there? Sunday-go-to-meetin' day is particularly brutal trying to dodge the road apples. If they wanna travel that way, fine. They oughta have to put a diaper on those horses or carry a king size pooper scooper though!

I concur completely. In my use it did neither.

Exactly the dilution ratio I used. Based on the many "testamonials" I read I felt that this was going to be even stronger than necessary.

This product received much acclaim when it hit the forums, and like the majority of products that receive a lot of hype it fell far short of the build up. For comparison it performed about the same, diluted 1:1, as my AM 777 diluted 4:1 (or 1:4 if you prefer ;)) I will say that I purchased my bottle from a local marine supply and the cashier mentioned (unsolicited, I had already placed the product on the counter for purchase) how much his customers liked the product for cleaning boats and in and around boat docks.

It is a cleaner, nothing more nothing less. Nothing to pay a premimum for, IMO.

Thanks for the comments guys... Can any of you tell me what you are using? I am always looking a better product for a better price. I have some Simple green I am also playing with right now.

If you want to use a premium product for wheel wells and the engine compartment, I'd go with P21s Total Auto Cleaner--in particular for the engine because it's very effective and safe. However for everyday routine wheel well cleaning, you don't have to go expensive. I've often used Purple Power from Walmart and even Awesome, which I always have on hand. You can use them straight or diluted and they are effective.
One product I've been pleased with for grease on the undercarriage is Spray Nine's Grez Off. That ones going to be a keeper in my arsenal.

I agree LA's Totally Awesome APC is a decent cleaner, and at $1/32 oz. it is cheap enough. Side note: If you have a Dollar Tree store it is cheaper to buy it there than at W-M which sells a 40 oz. spray for $1.97.

While I like P21S TAW because it is a citrus based cleaner, it is way too pricey for me. I bought a bottle years ago, but it didn't out perform Meguiar's CitriGel (which alas has long been discontinued) which marketed at a considerably lower price point. But if you wanted to spend the bigger dollars, and you have a HD dealer in the area, pick up a bottle of the S100 equivalent, which should be at least a little bit cheaper.

Edit to add: I still like the AM 777's price point and performance.

Wow! That's a real blast from the past! Long ago, I heard that one got picked up by a smaller brand.I don't remember the name and I seem to remember it having a very small presence, if one at all, online;so it was hard to get any way. It's probably long gone now.

Time for me to revisit AM again.

Yesterday I did a side by side test comparing ARO and LA's totally awesome.

I'll post a review on a separate thread.

You may be surprised by the results.

Question: is it possible the waxy coating left behind by ARO may hinder the adhesion and longevity of a tire dressing?

Very interesting to see especially since Awesome is my go to household cleaner and I usually don't even use it full strength. I'll be staying tuned.

I never attempted to use ARO on tires for that very concern.

I still have some. I bought several (?) gallons when I heard it was being discontinued and have used it sparingly over the years (and I cut it 1:1). Just feel the need to keep some in my remaining Meg's "silk screened" Citri-Gel spray bottle.

I don't use a ton of the AM product line, but their cleaners/soaps are just fine and at the right price points and I have @ 3 local stores from which I can pick them up quickly, as needed. If there is a negative, their pricing is odd in that I can buy 5 - 1 gallon bottles of 777 for a few cents less than buying a 5 gallon container...go figure. Still it is a great APC IMO.

Agreed!!!! I used more expensive and less expensive products on my 72 GS' white vinyl top and ARO was the only product that worked. I use it on convertable tops and get great results.

SoftScrub works well too. Twice a year, and a coat of NuVinyl.
