Product Review: 3D Towel Kleen

Thanks to 3D Car Care and David Fermani for the ongoing product review exchange program.

I have only used Micro-Restore to clean all my MF towels, so I thought I would give 3D Towel Kleen a try. I sampled 3 towels from a detail I did on Monday. I used my HE washer with normal wash setting, heavy soil and 2nd rinse. The towels were dried on extra low heat. Obviously no fabric softener or dryer sheets were used. As per instructions, I used 2 ounces of 3D Towel Kleen for this wash.

Impressions:
Standard gallon jug with easy instructions, but a 2.oz measuring cap would be nice. The heavily soiled yellow MF towels were used on very dirty wheels and the purple cobra for sealant removal. As you can see Towel Kleen did a nice job and the towels felt soft and fluffy. At $16.00 a gallon it is a good value. I would say it is equal to the cleaning ability of Micro-Restore.

Just tried a sample and actually think the Chemical Guys Detergant is better at getting the heavy stains out but it costs more.

I've been using the 3D product in every wash for a while now. The towels have been getting cleaner with continued use. I've got a couple other MF towel cleaning products. I think the 3D stuff is pretty good and will re-order when my gallon is gone.

Like with most any soap, you can add more for better cleaning or soak more. You just may need to rinse again.
