Are the most of the professional products discussed on this site available retail locally or only from mail order such as CMA etc???

Any local resources for such would be appreciated.

Thank you.

It’s kind of hit and miss. It’s much easier to get stuff online. 3M polishes you can find in some auto and marine stores. You can get clay magic at Autozone, Mother’s clay is more common at other places. Klasse and 303 you can get a BMW dealerships (303 at West Marine as well). Meguiar’s gold class shampoo at Target. Now you covered half of SoCal and you still need more stuff!

Point, click…what can brown do for you?

P.S. I recall reading a thread last year about there being a REALLY good detailer supply shop in LA, maybe the Mayor of Autopia knows the name if it offhand since that’s his stomping grounds too.

Here's some of my links:

The Mayor is David Bynon, who runs this forum for the benefit of all of us.

I think this is the thread SJS is referring to - check it out

Yea, www.DetailingDepot.com is located in OC and is very, very good. I bought my Klasse from the local BMW store... they also sell repackaged P21s stuff, BMW's Gummi-Pfledge, and also more repackaged Meguiar's stuff.

Some Autozones have the 100% cotton chenile mitts too...

If you can't find the detailing products you want in So Cal, then they either don't exist or are based in New Jersey or Florida.

I went to Detailing Depot on my last trip back home and found it to be a great place. Meguiar's, Mothers, Eagle One, and One Grand are all based in So Cal. You can call them and ask for local dealers or go to their websites and do a search.

Most every auto accessory joint in LA carries lots of detailing products. I'm sure you can find lots of stuff at the Pomona swap meet or the Long Beach one. And of course, auto body supply stores carry plenty of the good stuff too.
