basically im asking for feedback on the these products. these seem to fit the mold best with me but i could be wrong since im basing this on the mfg's descriptions. anyone know better alternatives from meg's??

o ya, another question, WHATS THE BEST MEGUIARS PROUCT TO REMOVE SWIRLS???? i used #9 but i didnt know i had to use it dry, i wet polished and it didnt do anything, im guessing it would make a diff if i did it dry...:idea

That's a nice list, but you could save more money and get some better products from the Chemical Guy's.

im ordering these things through my work and the supplier carries pro car beauty, meg's, farecla, and thats basically it for detailing. this is the best deal i can get since its going to be near the pricing my work gets it for. i doubt we can order any chem guys stuff :down

You didn't mention if you'll be using a rotary or PC. I'll assume PC.

Since you're doing it for money you'll want to pick products that are versatile and, as much as practical, one-step. If you have clients that really insist on multiple steps you'd better be charging appropriately. Almost none actually care as long as the results are nice.

M-26 is a great wax but it's a single-tasker. For most jobs it'll be better to use a cleaner/wax like ColorX, M-06 or M-66.

I'd lose the M-03 and go with M-80, more versatile.

If you're using M-02 make sure it's the new formula. The old is for rotary only.

Don't use the W-7006 maroon pad with the PC for applying products. Do use it with microfiber bonnets for removing products.

Get lots of microfiber towels and bonnets. You'll use more than you think.

PC.

im using a rotary and ill definitely be doing multiple steps. thanx for the advice.

o ya, ive never even used bonnets before so i have no experience at all, ive been taught with all foam. any real advantages?

You're welcome.

I recommended bonnets because I was thinking PC and bonnets are much faster for removing product than towels used by hand.

For applying product by machine I agree that foam is the way to go.

PC.

I started off the same. Working in the summer and maintaining the good customers through the weekends during the rest of the year. If you ever have any questions, then feel free to PM me. I've always offered up my phone # to people just starting out if they ever need to call for quick questions so send a pm.

I use a mix of products from multiple companies. Mainly Poorboy, BAF/PRO (prowax.com), Stoner, and Valuguard (autoint.com).

I'm always trying to limit down the amount of chemicals I have to carry around and help eliminate some costs. I found the best way is just start a list of all the different situations you'll encounter and then matching up the chemicals you like to use for those situations.

You'll soon start to get a lot better feel for how you like these products when you're constantly working on other people's surfaces. Once you get a few vehicle's that aren't in great conditions and you aren't working in ideal conditions (too hot of a surface, lack of good shade, surface needs more work than owner is willing to pay for, high humidity, etc.) you'll start to see what products you'll want to spend a little bit more money on to get ones that are easier to work with.

Right now my two, top favorite products I couldn't live without are Poorboy's EX-P for a nice wax and Einzett's Metallic Polish. They're both great products and have worked super well for me. I often work when it's super hot and humid out so spending the extra money on them if well worth it.
