Product for clear bra applications

I have searched pass threads and have come up with a few comments, but I'm looking for more information on using the VIper Microfiber Bonnet with the PC 7424 polisher. Specifically for the removal of Blitz, SG, and FI2. Any other information on this product would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx, Bob

Bob,

I use the Viper bonnets with the PC to remove Klasse and have used them to remove Meguiars Gold Class wax from my wife's van. IMO they are terrific for product removel, as long as you don't let them get caked with product. I set the PC on 2 or 3 and just go over the waxed section using light pressure. There is a need to follow-up with a good MF towel afterwards, but it makes product removal much easier.

Hope this helps you out.

IMO, unless you are having trouble buffing out a product, just use a quality MF towel (like the Vipers) by hand. One, if somehow a scratch is going to be made, with the hand route, they will be less frequent and your back and forth mothin will make them straight (much less noticable then circular swirls). Also, you usually have to follow up afterwards with a pass by hand anyway so you will save yourself time. By no means am i dissin anyone who uses them but so far i have had no problem with any of the products i use, klasse, Blitz, ect.

I'm backwards.... I remove wax by hand with an MF and then do a pass over with a PC/MF bonnet just to buff up the luster. It also sucks up any dust/residue left by hand wipe. I think one bonnet would get pretty clogged up removing wax from an entire car...

I've been reading a little about what type of LSP to use on clear bra applications. Plexus is good but does not last like a typical LSP product, and there is a new product from Adams on the market - they have a clear polish that supposedly is good for clear plastic materials.

Is there something that I should be using other than what I use on the rest of the car? Until now, I have just used whatever wax or sealant is used on the rest of the car; taking care to avoid any build-up on the seam of the clear bra.

Thanks.
