Prochem carpet chemicals are Excellent

After reading all the past Autopia threads on carpet cleaning, I took Grouse's advice and bought some Prochem carpet chemicals to clean the carpets in a house my parents rent out.

Prochem Liquid Slurry is a *fantastic* extraction chemical. And get this... the standard dilution ratio is one ounce to five gallons of water! That's like 640 gallons of solution.

Prochem All Fiber Rinse is also a great product. It leaves the carpet feeling soft, not stiff like most extraction chemicals. It's also supposed to neutralize the alkalinity of the extraction chemicals.

Prochem Anti Foam Powder does exactly what you think it would, and not very much of the product is required to keep the foam at bay.

I also ordered the Ultrapac Pre-Treat LVC, but it's backordered. Grouse recommended this product, though, so I'm willing to bet it's gonna be a winner, too.

These chemicals are highly cost effective. $42.00 for a gallon of the Liquid Slurry, which will mix up to 640 gallons of ready to use solution. That's a lot of car carpets! The other chemicals are equally cost effective, too.

The shipping was incredibly fast. I placed my order yesterday and it arrived today.

If you're looking for good carpet chemicals, you may want to give Prochem a try.

I have been using them for a year, and never had such clean and fluffy interiors. I have a 1lb jar of dry slurry I am working on, then going to start using liquid slurry, only because it mixes easier.

Glad you tried them out!

Grouse is the man. For all of ya'll trying to up your game on carpet cleaning, just do a search under the username ~grouse~ and the corresponding keywords. There is TONS TONS TONS of good informative info on carpet cleaning fwiw.

The Liquid Slurry really does mix up easily. I mix it up in a five gallon bucket from Home Depot.

Later on today I'll try to update this thread with a few links to some of Groue's carpet cleaning threads. He *really* knows his stuff.

I used ProChem chems in my carpet cleaning business for many years. Good stuff, Ultrapac is excellent.

Getting an endorsement from a guy that used ProChem professionally... It's gotta be good stuff.

Would these be ok to use by someone that uses a wet/dry vac and a LGM or do you need a real extractor?

There's been several guys that have used it with the LGM. I think that if you're going to do this, it would be best (safest) if you followed up with ProChem's All Fiber Rinse to neutralize and remove detergent residue.

When you place an order at prochem.com, they route the order to the distributor nearest to you. It turns out the place that filled my order was only a 25 minute drive on the interstate. So I paid them a visit today.

For anyone in Utah looking for a place to buy Prochem, I can't tell you how great the people are at Superior Cleaning Solutions in Orem. I walked in the store, and the owners (husband and wife) treated me like I was the most important person in the world, even though I was maybe gonna spend 50 bucks on chemicals. They bent over backwards, answering every one of my questions (and as an OC detailer, you can imagine how I grilled them with every question imaginable) with patients, and best yet: knowledge. I get so tired of customer service people that don't know anything about the products they sell. Well, the people at Superior Cleaning Solutions *know* the stuff inside and out.

Not only do they have the entire Prochem line, but everything else carpet cleaning related, too. I had to restrain myself from coming out of the store with a new $4,000 Mytee extractor.

The Prochem chemicals I got today worked very well. I bought and used the Ultrapac Trafic Clean S711, their Rust Remover, and All Fiber Deep Clean.

About five years ago, one of the water drains leaked, forming a nasty rust stain on the carpet. Of course the carpet was white, too. I had about zero hope for removing this stain. Two treatments with the Rust Remover, and it is completely gone.

Prochem and Superior Cleaning Solutions have a new loyal customer.

All Fiber Rinse is a great product!

If you can't find the stuff locally try Jon-Don. At the least check out their site, lots of good stuff for carpet & upholstery.

I'll check it out. There isn't a Jon-Don in Utah, so I'll check out their site.

Hmm, I've always wanted to try out their products but I can't seem to get enough interior details for me to run out of my current interior supplies, hehe.

+1

I just bought a gallon of Biokleen traffic lane -which should last me 400 years judging by the dilution ratio

but all this prochem talk makes me want to give it a whirl.
