Disclaimer: I have not followed all the threads about NXT (there are just too many) so maybe this has been beat to death. However I did do a search on my questions and complaints and I can’t seem to find anything on point.
I have been experimenting with NXT on my wife’s daily driver just to see what the hype is about. This weekend I saw NXT spray wax booster on the shelf and bought some (impulse buy). I found this stuff very difficult to use. Can anyone give me some tips or tricks?
The first application of NXT tech wax was applied last weekend. The car was washed in the morning and the surface was dry and cool to the touch (it was in a climate controlled garage at about 65 degrees all day –as I used the spray wax that evening). I get out a clean MF towel and fold it so that it ¼ the size. I first tried spraying the NXT Spray Wax booster directly on the hood and using the MF to spread it around. The towel kept “grabbingâ€ and “hangingâ€ up and coming out of my hand. It was extremely difficult to apply to the vertical sides because of this. I then switched application methods to spraying the product on the MF. No difference – same problems. Is this normal? Should I be using a foam applicator instead?
I thought the product was much to difficult to use for my intended purpose. With the application problems and having to wait for it to haze I think it is easier just to apply the NXT tech wax again. I was hoping it would be something like the Z6 gloss enhancer.
