Problem on chrome

I wasn't sure which forum this would fall under but here it is: I let a microfiber towel touch the "HOT" exhaust on my Sporty(not 24hrs old at the time) and it scorched the MF and left burnt residue on the chrome pipe.:angry (I should be kicked in the A_ _) That wouldn't solve the problem though I didn't try any chemicals just some wadding cloth and metal polish to no avail. Any ideas on a solution would be greatly appreiceated.

MF's are polyester and polyamide. Try mineral spirits or brake cleaner to remove the burnt residue.
