Pristine Auto: 2008 Infiniti G37S

Today I had the pleasure of working on a 2008 Infiniti G37S owned by a dentist in Dayton. He got to the house around 9:30 this morning and we promptly did a thorough walk-around to inspect the car. The car was bought used with ~2000 miles on it and wasn't in bad shape at all (compared to some I've seen). There was a lot of auto-wash induced swirling, hairline scratches, a few places where bird crap etched through the clear coat, but all in all it wasn't bad. This was a full correction and exterior only.

Products used:

Porter Cable 7424

Makita 9227C

Menzerna SIP w/ Lake Country Yellow (on select spots only)

Menzerna SIP w/ Lake Country Orange

Menzerna 106FF w/ Lake Country White

Lusso Oro

Detailer's Domain Blue MF towel

Cobra Waffle Weave drying towel

Meguiar's NXT Car Wash

Mother's Mag and Alum Cleaner

Random other crap...

On to the pics:

All in all, this color is GORGEOUS. I wasn't expecting much, but when we were all done, it looked outstanding! The owner stayed at the house and hung out, learned some stuff, and helped me out a bit and I enjoyed the company. Hopefully he learned a bit as well! Thanks for looking!!

Matt,

Thanks again for all the great work today. Sadly, the pictures don't do it justice AT ALL!! My car looks absolutely amazing now, and I can't thank you enough!!

Looks great. I have a detail planned for this upcoming weekend on the same car/color combo.

The color is very hard to photograph well, especially when mother nature isn't cooperating too well. Sure looks nice in person though!

What kind of moron doesn't know about the two-bucket method?!?! (oh wait... that was me)

And after watching Matt take such amazing care of my car today and taking some mental notes, I just dropped $100 on goodies from Detailed Image so I can maintain it!! Lets hope I don't end up back at Matt's for some more swirl removal any time soon...

Hey Matt, that turned out great. I'm glad you two were able to get together since you're much closer than I am! That's your S2K hiding in the background, right?
