Prime pad with OP/OC?

hey guys, I was just wondering if you guys prime your pads with anything like QD or water when you use OP/OC??

I have never primed a pad for those products...OP and OC seem to have some lube in them and gives it a long working time...they do not dust...



Some polishes and compounds do not like water or QD as a prime ..it can make them cut more and leave micro marring...



when using Op or OC the first application is a ring around the pad...not a heavy ring and rub the pad on the paint to coat the pad ...then work it..seems like the pad is primed then...
