Hey, guys. As some of you know, I have a client that has around 14 cars. His collection includes a Gulf Oil Edition Ford GT, 360 Modena, Series One Shelby, VIPER GTS and the Bentley GTC. He's also in to movie/novelty cars. He has the DeLorean from the second Back to the Future, an exact George Barris replica of the original Batmobile, just to name a couple. Here are a couple of pictures of his latest purchase. I'm working on the detail right now, so I'll post more pictures once I'm finished. Also keep in mind, these three pictures were taken with my iPhone. I have some high resolution images I'll post when finished.

Here is a picture of the entire car:

Here is a before shot of the hood. The entire car is in this condition.

Here is an after shot of the hood. I found out something after one pass...This is going to be my first single stage paint correction.

Knight Rider and a bunch of Barris's cars will be in Detroit this weekend. Is this one of them?

Classic...'82 T/A. Funny story, my friend and I are out on a local "strip mall" highway which has a lot of car dealers, stores, etc. in Aug. or Sept. 1981. We're pulling back out onto the highway and this arrest-me-red exotic looking car goes by...we figure it's some new kind of Ferrari, so my friend races thru traffic to catch up to it...just as it's pulling into the GM tech center (where they train dealer mechanics) down the road. We pull in behind it and it says "Firebird" on it. After that I always would eyeball the lot at that GM center in the fall to see if I could get a glimpse of upcoming models there for dealer orientation (long gone now).

I guess I should've mentioned it's an exact replica of K.I.T.T.

That is pretty funny!

Please take some pictures, Bob. I would love to see that.

Yes, I'll be going to Autorama this weekend.

Thanks, David. I'm looking forward to it. I had no idea it was SS until I tried my test panel with SIP/6.5" white pad....I finished and thought, "What the hell!?!?" :grinno: It should be finished later this week.

I'm still trying to decide on a LSP. Any suggestions?

Casey, you'll like single stage. Aside from it turning all your pads black. Can't wait to see your afters.

I'll try. LOL It ends up being the same every year, I'm seen Barris's cars there for the past 20 years, so usually I take the camera and then decide I don't feel like carrying it around so I leave it in the car. I'll wear pants with more pockets so I can carry the camera. LMAO

You know, that's what I was thinking. I love the look of CMW on black. Good call. Thanks, David.

Personally, I'd use CMW on that. Meg's 26 would also be a good choice....Meg's stuff always works well on single stage.

Don't inconvenience yourself for me, Bob. Haha. Thank you!

Thanks, Jim. I want to try my Megs #7 glaze, since it's never been used. I just hear how it's a PITA to use....I have the link for the Mike Phillips article on how to use #7. I may have to finally break down and do it.

I'll try and take pics and throw them on Photobucket. I like having the pics, it's no trouble.

Last year I went with a buddy of mine that said he was taking his "camera" and I left mine in the car. Coem to find out his "camera" was a cheap phone camera and all the pics looked like he took them while running.

Right on. Thanks again, Bob.

Just as an FYI...The "after" picture is after one pass with 3M EC/orange, followed by one pass of SIP/white. All that remains (Even though you can't see them in the picture) is a couple of RIDS. I may need to step up to PFW to remove those.
