Well i have a late model 2000, black chevy impala to do tommorow. The car is black and the swirl marks are pretty bad on the paint. I dont have a picture, but you guys have any suggestions on what products work the best for this color/swirl removal. I have basically every meguairs pro line, klasse, poorboys,clearkote.. I have a rotarty and a pc, but im still scared of the rotary for continous use with the american cars have thin mils of paint. I was thinking just using the rotary with the red pad, then follow with the pc for polishing.

Rotary, use Megs SFP and POLISH pad. If this does not get out the swirls, switch to DACP and fresh polish pad.

Do NOT use a cutting pad with a rotary unless you have good experience with a rotary, and you are familure with the product line, the pads and the rotary speeds. A cutting pad is used for serious defects.

Always go with a lower combo first.

I've done rotary & SFP, then switch to PC and polish pad with DACP to remove any leftover issues and polish it up a bit more.

Then, I switch to a finer polish, say like Menzerna FP or Megs hand polish and finish with that.

Deanski
