I am looking for a pressure washer, that can run off of a still water tank. Does anyone know where I can get one in Canada, or an economical place in the states to get one

I think if the tank has enough water in it and is elevated enough to produce enough flow, it should be irrelevant which PW you get. I have a 120 liter water tank in my trailer that's elevated just about 1.5 feet above ground and I have no problems at all with my PW @ 110 bar. Are there some special connections on the water tank or something?

Nothing special, just thought you needed a special pw to run off of still tank water. Do you have any pics of your setup

i have a karcher cheapo model that does the trick amazing. i have a problem with the gallons per minute thing here. i run off well water here and theres just not enough pressure to keep up with the pressure washer what i did wasdrilled a hole into the tope and bottom of a 55 gallon drum! the top as an in let and the bottom as an outlet. i went to home depot and and bought garden ose connectors and epoxy the correct fitting in. now the tricky part was letting my faucet run whille pressure washing to keep the tank from overfilling when not in use. so what i did to fix this was, i put a toilet floater in the top of the barrel amazingly enough it worked! sounds kinda crazy. but really wasn't much work. hopefully if this is what your trying do i helped ya. if not be a little more specfic maybe i can help ya some more!

So you run the water source to the tank and the pressure washer off of the same tank? Sounds like a buffer system (not rotary, the other definition of buffer) that alot of pressure washing companies use to prevent cavitation/pump damage with residential water supplies.

hey, hello

i just bought me my first pressure washer

and i need little help or infomation on how to hook it up with a watertank.

about me until last week i was pro-RV detailer with a company there i used a industrial machine

now i wanna start my own buisness, im planning on getting a tank about 80 to 120 gal.

now i been told that i CANT run the tank straight to the washer and i should get a pond pump that it would be enough pressure to the machine?! what do you think ?

the tank would be on my pickup truck the pressurewasher would be ether next to it or on the floor

what do i really need and or what do u recommend

thanks

dave

I'm a mobile detailer. I carry 70 gallons of water and a pressure washer, among other things. When I first started this, my pressure washer did not suck the water from the tank. I have a Husky 2200 Pressure washer. Even with the washer on the ground, the tank is in my truck. Gravity did not work. I bought a small utility pump. (waterbed pump) It runs off the DC connection on my generator. Since I carry both it was not a problem. I fire up the generator and pump first, then the pressure washer. I have constant water flow, and I don't have to worry about burning up my pressure washer pump. I probably use 2 to 3 gallons per car. This is on the high end, because I use ONR for washes. My pressure washer in mainly for wheel wells, rims and tires.

karcher actually sells an attachment that will allow you to suck water up from a pond or bucket to use with their power washers. If their machines are capable of actually sucking water for use I see no reason why if you have the setup you are talking about you would have any trouble with their machines. Also, bufferbarry says his works fine the way you are talking about. good luck.
