Ok, to be honest I don't know where to post this. Anyway, I need to get a decent pressure washer to help me get the mud off my car after I go 4 wheelin. I usually go the local car wash and pay to do it but I would much rather do it myself. I have seen some at Home depot and Lowes but I don't know what to get or if the ones there are to strong or not strong enough to help me. What do you guys use as a pressure washer? Post some links to where you got yours if you can.

Thanks in advance guys!

I'm in the process also of buying one.I had a question about how powerful it would have to be to clean the wheels without much scrubbing; but for the car itself as far as psi goes you could go with as little as 1000 psi for the paint and glass even in your case with all the dirt and mud, just make sure you have a good car shampoo . The higher end ones come with different nozzles for cleaning different materials. If you have lets say a 2000 psi or higher using the most concentrated nozzle will damage the paint so be careful if you get one with various nozzles. EXAMPLE: 00 is 0 degree, 15 is 15 degree, 25 is 25 degree and 40 is 40 degree 0 is the strongest

North star is a good brand at northern tool or Landa good but pricey.

'I have a PW with 6.5 HP non-commercial Honda, I think its rated 1750PSI (probably only 1200PSI max). I would Get one with changeable tips(different PSI). PSI isn\'t the most important indicator either. Gallons per min. (GPM) is a better indicator of cleaning power. 2.5-3+ GPM is great for cleaning cars.\r\n\r\nDon\'t put the tip any closer than few inches (6\" or more) with a medium sized PW and the paint will be OK. I also got a foam cannon for soap dispersal, a great tool. Also don\'t use the 0* tip as it acts like a laser, I use 25* or 40* fan tips.\r\n\r\n
