Prepping for Zaino

I'm receiving my Zaino shipment today. They say to wash with Dawn, clay, wash again then use the product. Can I just skip the Dawn and clay (car has been clayed and polished within the last month) and just do a 50/50 alcohol water wipe to strip off the old NXT? Thanks!

I would go 50/50 to strip then wash with a good car wash and dry thoroughly .

Also if you must remove any swirls or such , do so before hand as Zaino will only emphasize them

Just curious, did you order the Z-PC? I am getting ready to order from Zaino, and still can't decide if I should buy a Z-PC or just use the Menz FPII that I already have?

I didn't order the Z-PC. Just some Z-2/ZFX and Z8. I got most of the swirls out earlier this year with the Megs 83/80 combo and a Wolfgang orange pad. Many Zaino zombies swear up and down that the PC is good stuff. Maybe next order.

I have both and prefer the ZPC, actually I prefer# 80 to FPII.

One thing about ZPC it leaves a squeaky clean surface.

Order Z-PC it is one of the most significant detailing products I've ever tried, just for it's paint cleaning abilities alone. I removed truck bed overspray, probably the nastiest stuff you can imagine to remove, and I got no scratching and it removed it fairly easy. Road tar, water spots and bugs come off like they were nothing. There isn't a finer paint cleanser out there, AIO doesn't come closs to Z-PC's cleaning abilty even though I still use it all the time on jams and stuff. AIO leaves protection so it has great benifits to detailers in some situations, but when serious cleaning is needed reach for the Z=PC. I still haven't used it on swirls because I'm just used to my Menzerna's so I can't comment on that yet.

So where do you use Z-PC in your routine? Is it IP , FPII, Z-PC? (asuming you have swirls). With paint in good shape (swirl free) do you still use FPII and Z-PC?

I just did my girlfriends car with IP and followed up with Z-PC. Z-PC has to be my favorite product right now, because it leaves the paint really slick and clean. Menzerna leaves the paint squeaky clean. What I mean by this is that menzerna produces a squeaking noise while Zaino is super smooth.

Zaino does dust, but it is a hell of a lot easier to buff out than Menzerna.

As for ZPCs ability to remove swirls, I really cannot attest to it, because my car is silver and my GF's car is champagne gold. Both are metalics and very hard to see swirls. I have seen some great posts on Z-pc removing scratches (sand paper stuff i think).

Get Z-pc its awesome and Zaino really rules.

Me personally, I use Z-PC as a paint cleanser only right know just because I'm really used to me compounding routine and if it aint broke don't fix it, yeah? Anyhow, as a paint cleaner this stuff will remove what most other products wont, and leave the surface w/o any marring.
