I was hoping a few of the vets here and those experienced in coating prep could take a look over this and make sure my plan is correct. I feel good about it, but just want to be sure. I will be coating my 2014 Honda Accord with PBL v2. I used it once, on my mom's car back in August. The heat made it finicky, and flashed ultra fast so I'm waiting a couple more weeks for some cooler weather.
The full arsenal:

Not pictured: I'll be using my 3401 to polish.

I just polished it 3 months ago using WG UC and WG FG with tangerine pads and then white CCS pads. The paint looks nice as it is, but since I'm coating I obviously want to maximize gloss since I won't be able to polish again for at least a year. That said, I don't want and certainly don't need to go very aggressive at all with this.
Obviously, the first step will be to 2BM wash(w/ DG 901), then decon with Sonax Fallout cleaner and then nanoskin. Then wash again.
1st polishing step will be HD Polish with 5.5" white CCS pads. Fairly gentle product with a minimal cut polishing pad. I plan to polish on no higher than speed 4 with the 3401, probably 3-4 passes per section with only about the weight of the machine. I figure this will improve paint condition without being too aggressive. Make sense?
EDIT: the thin pillar panels and such will not get this step, since it doesn't seem necessary and paint is usually thin there.
2nd step in polishing will be Wolfgang Finishing Glaze with Gold 5.5" CCS jeweling pad. Softest pad available, which I'll use at a likely speed 2, again 3-4 passes but with minimal pressure. The goal of this step is to maximize gloss and make the paint appear as glassy as possible. Again, does this make sense?
PBL surface cleansing polish- I plan to do 2 applications of this to the vehicle, to ensure the paint is as clean as possible(I've read that 2 apps give better result than just 1). I'll use the crimson hydro tech pads for this, since this pad gives no cut and this is an abrasive free paint cleaning polish.
At this point, do I need to do an IPA wipe? The directions for the surface cleansing polish says the paint is ready for coating after application of SCP, but I know an IPA wipe is standard practice. Probably can't hurt, right?
Obviously, the final step is to apply the PBL. The goal is to do this on my two days off. I'll get up early the 1st day, do the entire process but just the 1st application of SCP. On the 2nd morning, I'll do the 2nd application and IPA wipe, then apply the coating. Since there are multiple uses in one bottle, I will reapply 24hrs apart- doing a UWW wipe down and a IPA wipe- until the bottle is empty.
How does this plan of action sound? Anything missing? Anything I need to rethink? Thanks for the input, and yes I will post pics in the click and brag once its done.
