Preferred picture hosting sites/apps?

What is the consensus what to use for posting pics on the forum(s)? I used to use PhotoBucket, but it looks like they got a little weird? What’s out there??

Are you guys using Imgur with your smartphone? I can`t get it to post a pic. It`s just leaving a link to the pic? On my desktop it shows all the posting options, but not on the mobil app?

If your sending from your phone download tapatalk. It’s a forum hosting site. You can download pics directly from your phone to the app. Alot easier. Their is a pic limit though.

You can get a lifetime subscription with unlimited full size photos for $30. Finally Broke down and got it myself.

Alot of the posters use the Tapatalk app.

Ugh - the whole thing with photobucket left a bad taste. I took a break from making threads because of that.

Then, i tried hosting the photos on the sister site, AG. But some IT stuff happened over there and my threads are hit or miss with the pics that were hosted there.

I do have an account with imgbb but....don`t really post threads anymore.

I do use Tapatalk for posting an occasional pic

I do Tapatalk. The free version stopped allowing me to upload photos a few years ago but the VIP version is a dollar a month or so and I switched to it.

QUESTION:

What happens if I post a picture with Tapatalk and I decide later if I want to delete it? With PhotoBucket I would simply just go in and delete the picture from being hosted. What do you do with Tapatalk?

I can test it in here with this Merlin test upload

Edit- I just delete the link associated with the pic and its gone

512detail - not sure if I follow? Can it be deleted?

Also, what the deal with the editing option on Utopia? Seems like the option to edit your post goes away after a certain amount of time? And once the edit feature option is gone how would you edit/delete the pic you posted??

The picture seems to no longer show up both in the thread and attached to the thread on the subscribed tab.

There is definitely a time limit on the ability to edit your post.

My Redeye post from yesterday morning is still editable for me but a post from over two days ago isnt. I`d guess its ~48 hours or less to edit so that obviously doesn`t solve a need to delete a Tapatalk uploaded pic after that time frame.

I was using Imgur but now it isn`t finishing uploading from Android so until that is fixed I`m back with photobucket

I had used Fototime for image hosting for the last 20 years and just last month the company disappeared. They claimed a catastrophic server loss and closed shop completely. I lost over 60 thousand posted photos on various forums. Ugh. It`s devastating. In an instant your whole identity "POOF" is gone. There really aren`t any good choices out there.

Brad B.!!! Wait--you had 60,000 photos on that site? Or there were 60,000 instances of your photos with all the sites? Any way you slice that...that`s a lot of pictures.
