PPG or Du Pont

I had PPG sprayed on my old truck and it was nice. But when I worked for a custom boat trailer manufacturer we used DuPont and that too was very nice. I wouldn't hesitate using either one. I would also look into the House of Kolor paints as well.

IIRC both PPG and DuPont make a *lot* of different paints in several different "lines". Might oughta look into which ones are their "best" stuff. This isn't something I'd pinch pennies on.

FWIW, I'm sold on Spies Hecker paint. It cures *hard* for aftermarket paint. Almost as hard as the factory-baked SH on Audis. Painters tell me there's a learning curve to it though, so I wouldn't force it on a guy who's never shot it before.

I'm not going to be shooting it , going to have to pay for it. I don't have a the place or the tools to do it myself. I do have the scheme of what I want to do pretty much set. first I need to address some rot issues w/91. looks like I'll be needing a door and both front quarters at the minimum. this is going to be next yrs project.

NE winters have taken their toll on this truck, that and the 4 wheeling. I would love to do a body off but again no place to do it.
