powerball on Clear Coat?

I am going to repaint my wheels soon..



I've done some research on wheels and associated products...



There seems to be two main ways in wheel finishing..



1. clearcoat

2. polish + wax(sealant)



does that mean powerball + metal polish will not do anything on clear coated wheel?

or is it really the same thing as if we polish clearcoated paint surface?



oh and which is better between original powerball and mini one for polishing wheels?

Metal polish is for bare metal, ie polished wheels. For clear coated you need to use a clear coat safe polish like mothers power polish. As to what size powerball to use, it depends on the wheels size and contours.
