Power Generator?

Hello,

I need to purchase a new power generator for my mobile detail. What's best on the market in your opinion? I've heard Honda brands are the quietest...true or false? Your input is much appreciated!

Dan

I run a honda generator eu3000i and my shopvac is louder than it. Mine only puts out 1500 constant watts so be sure to add up all the equipment you are planning to have and find the highest wattage you need (or add up equipment your are going to run simultaneously) and buy accordingly.

I haven't used a honda but of the ones I have been around in the last month the Yamaha was the best as far as low noise goes.

I think you can't go wrong with either the Honda or the Yamaha...see where you can get the best deal for the wattage you need:)

Moving my post from the old site to here .

The Honda EU and EX line are some of the quietest generators on the market. Like Scott said your shop vac is loader then the generator.

EU1000 , EU2000, EU3000 and the EX4500 ,EX5500 are the quiet gen lineup with inverter technology . Below is a db chart.

are you going to use an extractor w/ the generator . My extractor uses something like 16 amps . A smaller gen won't power that . I still use my customers power for now.
My detail shop said to double the amperage to make sure when all switches are on it'll have enough juice ..

I've been using the Honda eu3000i for about a year now, and have run my Mytee 8007 without any problems. Heck, I even ran the Mytee 8007 and an aircompressor simultaneously on a few occasions, but I do not recommend that.

I bought the eu3000i used for about $1400.
