Hi,
I just got finished installing a hood deflector on my vehicle and am considering adding a brush guard as well. Obviously, these accessories are for the purpose of protecting the paint, but I had to wonder about potential damage caused by the accessories themselves.
As carefully mounted as they are, including the use of anti-abrasion tape where appropriate, there is bound to be a certain amount of vibration which could concievably cause at least minute amounts of slippage during normal operation of the vehicle. And I wonder if that could damage the paint on the hood and bumper.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these types of accessories and if so did they damage the paint? I do a fair amount of driving in semi-rural areas and want to take suitable precautions, but I also don't want to risk doing more harm than I am preventing.
