Potential Emergency! Please advise...

Hey,

Havent been around for a while due to various life issues, but I'm back, and in need of some serious detailing advice. It will turn into an emergency if the wife takes notice of the situation...hehe.

Anyway, here's the deal. Medium colored blue, I assume clear coated, metallic. It's darker where stickers were present on the paint.

Is this solvable? How? And if so, what skill level?

My guess here is yes, it's solvable. Via wet sanding. Very skilled.

Please chime in before I am skinned alive.

(Details on the car later (no pun intended)) ;)

I think he's trying to even out the colour difference between where the stickers had previously been and the lighter paint next to them.

That's exactly it. These stickers had been on the vehicle for 5 years, and the color difference is noticable in the right lighting, at the right angle. My wife didnt notice until I mentioned it, and told her exactly how to look for it.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks!

Thats UV damage .....

You could try seeing if theres any oxidation that needs removing and see if that darkens the paint up, but short of that yer sunk.

:(

Go with the usual theory...least abrasive polish next to where sticker was and then progress to more abrasive products...last gasp is wet sanding and then all the polishing again...;)

Yes i believe it will come out....
