PostCard Success???

Ahh the question that i was thinking of asking myself just a week ago... But then i changed my mind strapped on the walking shoes and went out flyering the neighborhoods in the cold dreary weather. I was a little concerned with the cost difference between my standard flyer, and the cost of printing and mailing the postcards. I know as a consumer that i generally just glance at them, and unless it has something to do with my business, or something that i had already been thinking about doing, rarely do i glance more than once. This scares me off of this tactic. The success rate for flyers is very low, like 1% low if that, if the success rate for postcards is <1% than not worth it to me. They are semi costly to print, and even more costly to mail. Just my $.02

Although i seem negative, next year i am having (depending on cost difference) somewhere from 50,000 to 200,000 printed off. I have found that the change in cost per piece can be so significant that it is almost stupid not to have the 200,000 vs. 5,000 or 50,000

Marketing is something every business cannot do without! I agree that u have to give out flyers or postcards... something have to be done!

For me, I'd print maybe 20,000 or 50,000 cos printing too much means that I've got to wait for the 1st batch to run out before printing the second batch! I like the flexibility of being able to change the wordings in my flyers!
