Here's some pics of my model / toy car and truck collection.

I also have other 80's Tonka vehicles (not pictured)

Pictured here are many early 90's E30 M3 DTM/BTCC race cars, made by Paul's Model art for Minichamps. They are 1/43 scale.

Most I paid $30 each, now worth over $120+

Here a nice rare Renault 5, made in France by Majorette.

Behind that is a matchbox VW Bus, made in England by lesney. The 70's VW Buses are very collectible.

Here's a recent pickup - Early 60's Friction toy truck made by Marx toys. It is tin and plastic. Made in Japan.

Below is a 1988 civic hatch , made by minichamps. Limited production.

Here's a couple vintage 1950's or pre-war lead toys.

The orange racecar is a made by midgetoy, and the yellow tanker truck has no badging on it. Anyone know what the manufacture is ? It is not a tootsietoy.

Most of my stuff like that is packed up. Have several Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear."

When I was 3 in the late '70's, I was given a bunch '60's and '70's Matchbox vehicles, along with Corgi Husky and some Aurora "Cigar Box" cars. They were already old then, and I played them into the ground.

I went on a spree of trying to buy mint versions, and they are super pricey now. One of my favorites as a kid was a Corgi Husky Jag:

In todays market, collectibles are a tough sell.

Younger people dont collect anything... only spend most of their extra money on monthly phone bills and useless video games...etc

Yup! People have stopped valuing history; now it's all just about consume and toss. Kinda sad, really.

Not my collection, but this was my customer's display in his garage when I detailed his car. Thought it made a good reflection shot in the roof of his black NSX.

I bought a beautiful display case with fibre optic lighting and everything but no cars to put in it yet. For now I just use it to display some retail size detail supplies in the shop.

Been browsing these forums for a while, but haven't posted enough to throw up pictures so as soon as I hit the limit ill come back and post my father in laws collection. It's a little crazy.....just warning

Occasionally I may find some at Costco around the holidays but nowadays they are more expensive and more difficult to find so I more or less stopped collecting. I also ran out of shelf space. I have Franklin Mints in my living room along with some glass collector cars

Damn! One way to get rid of them if you so choose, is to rent a lot in a flea market! There's more than a store's inventory there!!

Here's my 1950's Japan Tin Friction delivery trucks, Made in Japan.

Not sure how many are in the set.

I think these are made by the Marx toy company.
