What is the difference between model 7336 and 7335?

(other than one is a 5" and the other is a 6", it appears the 7335 can hold a 6" pad)

Check out this thread. It looks like the pad size and counterweight size are the differences. They're the same body though...

Why would you want an extra side handle. Most people use the PC without any side handle as you get much less vibration into your hands and arms.

They remove the handles and just hold onto the body/motor? The reason I wanted one was because the one I am buying does not have any with it.

I thought the detailers here had one handle attached.

I'm also a no-handle guy. If you like to add pressure to the unit when polishing, it's easier to add more even pressure without the handle. If you are just using the PC for applying waxes or sealants, it's a one-handed operation.

To each his own:nixweiss

Start a poll with "Yes/No" to the Porter-Cable handle. Probably be interesting, and it will probably remove your desire to pick up an accessory handle.

I use the handle and like it. I guess it depends on how strong your hands are but I feel that applying pressure where I grip with my right hand (ha ha) is enough and my left hand on the handle does the guiding.

FWIW, used my PC for the first time last weekend. Started off with the side handle attached and removed it after just a few seconds use. Like others have said, you get a lot less vibration through your hand/arm by holding the head of the PC rather than the side handle.

Cheers,

Phil

I haven’t even bothered trying the handle. The PC feels very comfortable to me without it. I feel I have very good control just holding the top of the unit with my hand.

PC - Both.

Depends on how I am feeling. I leave the handle on all the time but usually just grip the top of the unit. For vertical sections, I tend to hold onto the handle bit when bending over but for the hold roof and trunk, it's sans handle for me.
