Porter Cable for $ 159 CDN Canadian Tire

I have both and the PC beats the heck out of a rotary. I paid around $210 for mine, and its built solid. If I didnt have one now I'd get that C.tire one!

Are you cereal? How can it be better? A rotary can go deeper and faster than anything.

Well the rotary I had was made by wen, made alot of noise, but didnt do much work.

once you get your hands on a makita or a dewalt, you will notice a HUGE difference. the wen model is a not a very good item in my eyes. just like you said, makes too much noise, doesn't work much, and is very heavy. i can understand why you prefer a pc. try checking with a local hardware store, you may be able to rent one and you will enjoy it i am sure.

Do you already have the Velcro® backing plate? If not, you'll need one before you'll be able to use the Velcro® pads. Both could be acquired locally at a NAPA store (They sell Meg's stuff, so they'd be able to get you the Meg's plate and pads). But be forwarned, the Meg's pads are about $33.00 CDN! I'd recommend buying online.

I went to Can.Tire on friday and they didn't have them in stock....must have been only for website orders? anyways....I found the 7336, backing plate and pad combo for $221CAN on 2020kustoms.ca
do you guys think this is a good deal? the pad and backing kit are Lake country
