Can you use the PC to compound a car after cutting with 2000 grit, and what type of pad/setting would you use?

I would not use wool with the PC. It won't do much, I think a foam pad would be a much better choice.

IIRC, I wetsanded with 2K paper (possibly 2500?...it was a few months back) and had no issues removing them with my UDM and LC Orange/105.

4" wool pads can be quite effective via PC. Even the mild PFW pads can work OK in the smaller (3.5-4") sizes. I've removed 2K sanding marks with them using M105. LC orange will often work too, but it can take longer and the orange pads get a lot hotter than the wool.

I use 4" Purple Foamed Wool and M105 with my G110 and it works like a charm. I follow that by M105 on an orange Pad, then M205 on a white pad.

I'd see if your compound and an orange pad works first before the PFW.

Just make sure you prime the wool pad well. It tends to dry up and dust the M105 much more quickly than a foam pad. I find a spritz of QD or water with help me get an extra pass out of it before drying up completely.
