Hi , i was wondering if anyone on here, has or used the porter cable rotary.I seen one for a good price . I also wanted to switch to the edge pad system.Any imput on this polisher and pads is appreciated.

the edge pads are great, I never tried the PC 7428 but I think PC is discontinuing them for the Dewalt 849, Dewalt, PC, and black and decker are now 1.
not to degrade portercable in any way . . when i went to purchase one, i wanted that specific model to match my PC DA, however it seems they (specific production models) had some issues (motor failure, etc) might want to contact porter cable to inquire as to such problems, check for recalls, ect, prior to purchase . . . and make sure if you do decide (on any machine) that you purchase form an authorized retailer, so your warrant will be valid. . . . I ended up with a Hitachi, nice 5 year warranty and a little lighter on the weight.
