Porter Cable 7428 Rotary Buffer?

I'm about a half step away from ordering a rotary buffer. I found a Porter Cable 7428 at the right price $175 minus a $25 rebate from CMA (a company I trust).



More folks seem to be fond of the Makita 9227. Is there really any difference in the performance of the two buffers? I have been very pleased with the performance of my Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher.



I know that Harbor Freight has a great deal on the Makita 9227 -$159.99 - but I am leery of ordering from them.

I'm going through the same decision now. Deciding between the PC Rotary or the Makita. Which did you end up getting?



Harbor Freight is an alright company. Really good prices. A lot of their stuff is lower end products, but if you stick with a brand name, you're alright.

I've got a PC7428 and a DeWalt DW849. Both are nice machines but different. Depending on variables like price, I don't think you can make a mistake buying either.... or the Makita for that matter.
 
This past weekend I purchased a Makita 9227 and I was able to play around with it over the weekend.



It's great, and does it sure reduce polishing times. I will also continue to use my PC but I'll be using the Makita for the heavy duty work.



Strange really as I don't even do this for a living...I just love a clean car and helping my friends/family drive clean cars also
