I just got my Porter Cable 7424 from Autopia mainly to try and remove some minor swirl marks from the bonnet of my Grey 2003 Ford Focus St170.The weather was not great this weekend but I managed to have a quick go at it.I used the white SFX pad and the Sonus paintwork cleaner.The results are quite impressive considering I only gave it a realative cat lick on a slow speed.Most of the swirls have gone,some can still be seen (just) in direct sun light.I was wondering if I step up to the yellow pad and try a slightly more abrasive cleaner/polish etc if it will get rid of these slight remaining swirls or should I just do the bonnet again with the white pad and work it a bit faster for longer.Any advice would be appreciated.Here's a few pics of the bonnet after the initial buffing with the Porter Cable,showing the few swirls that remain.What product/pad combination would be best to remove this last bit of swirling? It's only noticable in the last pic really. Thanks,Steve.
