It's no possible for me to get halogen lights on a stand because of the constricted area i'm working in.. right now I use a standard work light to check for swirls, however I'm wondering if there is something that is more portable (something cordless?) so I don't have cords all over the place.

any recommendations?

this site is just for refer.

you can find this flashlight at lowes, homie depot, target, possible at any outdoor camping store and so forth...it runs around for 29 buxs......just make sure it a dual and it has the same light buld there are some simular with two diffrent bulbs .....this is small portable but you cant compare it to the worklights....

I have the Brinkman Dual Xenon as well. It's 3 million candle power and is a cordless rechargable. There is a selector switch that allows one or two beams and it come with both and AC and 12V charging adaptors for the price. It is a pistol grip style but has a hook on it for hanging it up. Love it.

I really like the DeWalt battery-powered light. An added bonus is that it powers DeWalt's shop vac, which is excellent -- not too big, not too small.

Craftsman makes a shop light that is hand held/battery powered and can be hung up too.

Has a bunch of bright LED bulbs on it, let me find a picture.

Here we go,
