Portable Cordless Vacuum

I have had several.

Now I am using the Shark, its the best on I'v had so far, powerful.

Its fine for one car and quick cleanup around the house but I don't think it has the battery life for more than that.

I have a 12 volt for my trailer and it's not powerful enough.

I have 2 hand vacs 110 volt, the dirt devil does a great job, lots of power.

If I were going to do what your going to do I would get a small inverter and a good 110 volt, it would have the power and portability.

I saw a Coleman Powermate inverter for $21 a while back, can't remember where though.

I use the Vac-n-Blo and an inverter. I don't do pro detail work but I do like to go to the park and detail so I take the Vac-n blo with me. Works very well. The Vac n Blow is the best small vac you will find and it also can be used as a blower to blow water our of handles, mirror housings etc.

I also have the shark. It's 14.4v, and the best I've ever used. Keep in mind the dust cup is very small, but it has great power.$60.00

I paid $49.99 for the rechargable Euro Shark. Pretty decent for it's size and for running off a battery. I also have a 12v Campbell-Hausen (spelling) that is similar to the Dirt Devil since it also has rotating brushes which work very well on mats.

I would definitely not rely on rechargable or 12v vacs though. You can get decent results, but they take more time. Invest in a good plug in wet/dry vac. Almost every place you go will have an outlet you can use. I only use the other two vacs when I have no choice.

Does the Shark have a good filter? Most of the ones I tried blow a little cloud of fine dust.

I never get any errant dust from the Shark like I used to with the Black & Decker portable.

I'm going to give the shark and see if I'll like it. It's getting some good comments, plus it's easier to get (local store).

I'll get back to you all with feedback.

Thanks guys!:xyxthumbs

I use a 12V vacuum that I have had for almost three years. It does a great job for me but to be honest I never let my Truck get all that dirty. I also use a small brush to get the dirt lose and to the surface.

Be careful with the inverters. Buying one that can not provide enough current could be rather frustrating. I don't hink it would damage the vacuum but would probably keep popping fuses or circuit breakers.
