VW and Porsche merging ?! Really?! Please...

I always like that Porsche was a privately owned operation but this is scary. Now I'm having visions (or nightmares) the same shifter on the Jetta will be used in a 911.

Looks like I'll be sticking to my BMW.

PS the new VW all maintenance is included for 3/36 sucks- Why? Because they cut their oil changes to 10,000 miles -AND cut their warranty from a few years ago of 4/50,000 -So they removed 1 full year of warranty and in return give about 3 oil changes. What a shaft.

That's already been going on for years since Porsche has been a major shareholder in VW.

You do realize that Porsche is the owner and not VW? Porsche and VW have worked together for a long time. The 914 and 914/6 is a classic example.

Yes yes yes I know all about the 70s & 80s "entry level" Porsche -and more recently the Cayenne....

Hot off the press

"Porsche Fails to Swallow VW

Instead of the sportscar maker taking over its larger rival, the two companies have agreed instead to a merger, with power sharing still unclear "
