Porsche never quits - 2006 Cayman

It's not entry level - it's going to be priced inbetween the Boxster and the 911, which IMO makes it a bit pointless!

msrp will be ~59k. 997 is ~69k. 997S is ~79k. C6 is ~46k. C6 Z06 will be priced at 59k from what sales told me. If you have the $$$ you have some good choices. My mind says Z06 but my heart says 997S.

Bah, I won't even consider the Boxer. As fun as they are, it just doesn't fit me. As far as I'm concerned, a hardtop is far more appealing. A boxer S that is close on the performance numbers to the Cayman, is 54k 59k for the Cayman seems just as doable. Plus, it's rumored to be able to drive circles around the Boxer and the 997 on a track. I guess we'll have to wait and see. (Puts another 20 under his matress...)

I've heard the same rumors.

Apparently the motor is severely detuned because of the same type of law GM has. No model is allowed to be more powerful than thw 911/Corvette.
