So it's Saturday morning, sorta :) and some of us are going to get up Saturday and Detail.

State the products and what you're doing on this Saturday morning (or day).

I wanna see who's out there doing what I'm doing, and what products you're using and any tips you can share.

Even if you're just washing your car or QDing it. If it's Saturday and you're on autopia write it here :)

what am I doing saturday morning? im going to finish up on some minor scratches i missed and wet sand them away. that means im using soapy water, sand paper, 3m rubbing compound, 3m SMR, and PPCL.

after that im zainoing for the FIRST TIME EVER! starting with a nice layer oz Z1+5:up

I just received my PC & CMA Accessory Kit along with some Viper MF Bonnets. So I'll definitely being doing some detailing tomorrow before and after my 5 year old son's soccer game. The practical side of me says I should practice working with the PC on my truck or the wife's minivan however the impatient side says wash the black car, use 3M SMR on it with the PC, like David showed in his videos, then lay down some paste wax.

The glass on the car is almost perfect except the inside of the rear window can use just a bit more work. I'll use Stoner Invisible Glass and compare how it works with my new Viper MF Glass Cloth versus my old standby Scott Rags in a Box.

This weekend standard wash for the Odyssesy and QD with EF Pearl.

Wash for the Lexus; QD with my latest addition: 1GsO (OGSO, OGSHo:) on top of klasse and blitz)

The Vette is getting most of the attention, last weekend PPCL w PC, one more Sat., followed by Eagle Polish. Setting up for my first shot at Pin Paste Glaze.

Monday is a bonus day!

Washing the car tomorrow and doing some chip/scratch repairs with the same type of products as Ng. QD on Sunday before mechanic ( ) on Monday.

At the very least, I'll wash and Z6 the WRX. If I get motivated (vast quantities of caffeine may be required :D), I'll try to do something with the SVX . . . the finish on it was pretty much shot when I bought it a few years ago, but I thought I'd at least get it cleaned up and a coat of polymer on it for the winter. It won't help the looks much, but might stave off some rust from the coming salt season.

Just got done with a quick wash and a little Z6 and it off to the North Georgia mountains in the S2000. (The only thing better than detailing my cars is driving them in the mountains!)

I am working on saturday so washing the wife's Xterra with Zwash and QD with Z6 will be the start of the day on sunday.

My truck has alot of small sap drops on it and I have to figure out how to get those off. Then I will have to go back over it with Z1 and Z2.

I cheated and did my Saturday detail on Friday

On the Passat with Klasse 1xAIO and 3x SG previously applied.

Wash and detailed using:

Meguiars Gold class car wash

3M wheel and tire cleaner (citrus based) works well

Sheepskin like wheel cleaning brush for wheel spokes

Use chenille mitt to wash car

Water Bandit and MF cloth to dry (great drying combo)

Brillianize for outside mirrors and headlights and taillamps, buff with 100% cotton cloth (alternate with Plexus) No perceived difference between Plexus and Brillianize.

Tried the Interior and Exterior Lotion from Eagle One(free sample) for tires and interior plastics- easy to use lotion, smells pleasant. I think this is the same as the lotion sample I got from VW. I prefer this over runny liquids. Less sticky and less slimey than Tirel Gel.(alternate with 303 Protectant and Meguiars Tire Gel) This is becoming my new favorite for vinyl, plastic and rubber. Feels like hand lotion.

Dry door sills, trunk sill area and underhood area with MF cloth and 3M Quick Detail. (the 3M detail spray can be used in areas that are still wet- like door sills, hinges, etc)

Invisible Glass for windows, dry with MF cloth, followed by Brillianize buffed off with cotton cloth

QD with One Grand Show Off. Applied with MF cloth but had to buff off with 100% cotton cloth to remove some streaking and spotting. I think I like this better than Clear Pearl, it seems to have more wax in it.

Accord Klasse 2xAIO previously applied (for now)

After washing and drying, tried Meguiars Quick Detail

I prefer Final Inspection over the red bottle QD, but I had to try this one. Maybe it's my imagination but FI seems more slippery.

No detailing over the weekend:D

Once it gets a little cooled off this afternoon, I'm going to wash and then clay with Mother's Clay, and if there is still time use some 3M SMR and if I need to FI-2. Then of course there is Sunday... and Monday... to do other stuff.

Hmmm, just doing the weekly washings. Will be using Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo(maybe Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo, I may change my mind at the last minute ;) )and Chenille Mitt using the 2 bucket method.

I have so many different products in my stash sometimes it's hard for me to choose. Does anybody besides me have this problem?

Can't wait- the weekend is here! Can finally detail!

Wash with Gold Class. Clean wheels with Gold Class and wheel brush; clean tires with EF HI and tire brush; dress tires with Eagle One Concours Satiin. Do interior with 303. Wax with Blitz. QD with One Grand Show Off. Interior and exterior windows with Stoner's. Vacuum.

Next car: future father-in-law's. Wash with Gold Class. Clean wheels and tires with EF HI; dress tires with Eagle One Concours Satin. Wax with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. Interior with 303. Interior and Exterior windows with Stoner's. Vaccum.

Can't wait!

i can picture u writing all that....you must be hyper like me....very detailed detailing...:) for me....just finished the interior today...lots of 303 all over...303 fabric guarded all the carpeting for winter(shampooed first)...Plexus to the intsrument panel and the like....Lexol leather cleaner to the seats+trim then followed up with Pinnacle conditioner(love that smell).....had to Xenit some of the door sill trim...had some scuff marks there(love that citrus smell too).....so.....2 hr brake now...then wash/polish with Zaino stuff...want Z5 today...then ill get another Z2 on tomorrow(lots of Z6 of course)....Ef hi intensity to the tires followed with Meguiars High Gloss endurance....i rotate between this and the Zaino for the wheels(Z16)..depending on my mood...went matte for the past mth...so now its time to shine it up....then Z2 the chrome wheels and im set....til it rains on Mon....

Started to wash the car today, I was just begining to dry it ready for some Blitz when it started to snow:( , I thought it was cold, but not that cold. Oh well, it just shows how cleaning cars keeps you warn (and fit?).

I am sure that under the snow and ice, I do have a shiny car;)

Not to rub salt, but it's a beautiful SOCAL day.

I've polished the Vette with Eagle Wet One, wanted to try once. PC on and off caked up my terry bonnets pretty good.

Let it sit for a few hours Vipered any remnants. Used PPG for the first time, WOW can't imagine what Souveran is like. PPG is great. Will go for a 2nd coat tomorrow.

PLC on the leather, Meg Gold Class on the dash and plastic.

OK, breaks over. I see some AIO in my rims future.

OBTW, looking at my Nicsand and Viper mf towels, both made in Korea????, I'm having a hard time seeing a difference.
