PORSCHE 991 TURBO S CABRIOLET

Gorgeous 991 Turbo S Cabriolet with the owner going crazy on the configurator, picked up from my local dealer.

Sticker shock indeed.

After thorough wash and light decon steps were carried out, every surface cleaned and protected.

As Porsche literally uses a paragraph now for emblems had to make sure all dirt and marring was removed.

Beautiful interior.

Full leather seat backs............

Color keyed sport chrono..............

Color keyed dash speedo, and alcantara steering wheel.

On the lift, all lower portions attended too.

My favorite and possibly most famous Gen 2 GT3RS 4.1 Sharkwerks Porsche on the planet in the background.

Ready for the road.

PORSCHE 997.2 GT2RS FULL BODY FILM WRAP & DETAIL No. 442/500

2012 GT3RS in for old film removal and new full body wrap, also remove old non-legal tint and replace with Huber-Optik tint and finishing with a thorough detail and protection. As it arrived to my shop before the wash.

Tint so dark you could not see into the vehicle.

Removing old yellowed film.

As mentioned "Limo dark" tint.

Tint came off fine, glue residue was a little bit of work to get off.

Glue residue finally removed.

Polishing the finish.

Matte carbon fiber trunklid was dull and had a streaky appearance, carefully polished to even out the look of this part of the car(Factory decal crest would come off and be replaced after the matte film was put on).

Hann Kim came up from So.Cal with KME Autowerks for the tint portion of the job.

Evan & Mike from KME Autowerks doing their thing.

New factory crest decal going back on.

Good to go................

Macro shots of outstanding edge work by KME Autowerks.

Protection applied on the matte film.

Interior pics.

Under side of trunk signed by Hurley Haywood.

Clean engine bay.

Wheels being gloss black are always a chore, but these wheels were tore up badly.

Working out the severe defects.

Titanium tips needed attention.

After polishing.

All finished with full body wrap, new tint and thorough detail to make this rare Porsche look it's best.

Wow Bob just a sweet set of cars. Both incredible. The GT2RS is a friggin unicorn around here. I've never seen a real example. Just amazing.

The TTs cab is also amazing.

Nice to see you posting. Hope to see you more often.

Have a good one.

Ok, some dumb questions about the 997--I see your tint guy working on the outside...but the tint went on the inside, right? The red loops on the inside of the doors are...door pulls? For weight?

That wrap job was incredible.

I hope you don't mind my answering but the red loops are as you guessed for pulling the door shut. Saves at least 1.5 lbs lol. I have seen tint guys who cut the film on the outside to make the template. Its too hard to cut inside these cars.

Oh yeah, I wasn't really awake when I posted that I guess, AmmoNYC has a video of his 911 or whatever it is getting tinted and the guy did it that way, on the outside. Thanks.

I've done several 991 TTS & 997 RS's, but never a 4.1. You guys in Cali have all the luck!

Actually, this pull is designed to open the door, not so much to close it as this part eliminates the inside door handle. You can grab the map pocket to close the door.

Yes the door pull is for weight savings, the 4.1 Sharkwerks car Dave is a custom engine build as Porsche does not currently offer a 4.1 Lt engine only a 4.0 in the Gen 2 GT3RS and 991 GT3RS coming out this month.

The GT2RS is a great car had fun working on it except for the tint glue removal part as that frankly sucked as I do not fit in the back of the car to well.
