Lots of recent details....



First up is a Lincoln Truck.



The truck was in pretty good shape so I two stepped it with Vanilla Moose and topped with Ardex Topaz paste.

Next is a BMW 745. Good shape if you don't count the several deep scratches he put on the bumper from backing out of the garage! :soscared:

nice job...few comments...first, i cant believe u were able to go from SSR 2.5 to LSP on the black BMW, i think u should have followed it up with another polish before LSP but maybe not. also, thats a honda ridgeline, not pilot

The car was not in that bad of shape to begin with. I have plenty experience with SSR for me to know what I need to follow up with. What to follow up with it depends on how SSR is applied, the condition of the paint, the type of service, etc.

Agreed, it totally depends on the paint and pad. I have been able to use 2.5 via cyclo with orange pads and go straight to LSP on a black Mercedes. I have also seen paint where 2.5 with the green pads on the cyclo will micromar the paint *very* noticeably. It all depends on paint, pad, and your experience with the product.

ARDEX huh? How do you like the Topaz? I have a dealer that lives up the road from us but I thought that it was all dealer-cheap crap. Yours looks good tho!

Tell me about it! I just hope the weather stays like this! It's 80 and sunny right now, but they're calling for rain this weekend...and I have alot of regular's scheduled for weekend's!! :mad:

I was a little turned off from Ardex in the beginning after discovering 97% off all the local car washes and detail shops uses them, but I couldn't resist to try out some of their stuff since the actual factory and store is like 15 minutes from me. The products I use sometimes and frequently are:



1. Topaz Paste

2. Blue Window Cloths (works very well - no streaks at all when combined with IG glass cleaner)

3. Speedy Brite tire shine

4. Their quick detailer - I forgot the name, I just know that it is a pinkish color (very good stuff - smells terrific, leaves the paint slick, and provides a good shine).

5. Solvent cleaner (this is for road line paint, tree sap, caked on tar, etc.) I only use it for very tough jobs.

6. Aluminum cleaner (this stuff scares the mess out of me - very powerful, very strong, very toxic...but it can completely clean and prepare aluminum for polishing that is in very bad shape). I only use this on semi's and dump trucks.
