Pop-up canopy bit of luck

So I went to Home Depot with the wife for a piece to fix the water hose that I had just ruined, and, at the end of the hose aisle, sitting all by itself, was a slightly torn-up box of a QuickShade canopy, 12 x 12, marked at $44.00!

I have 2 of the same make 10x 10's, and they're great, but just a little too small, so I usually erect both of the 10x10's and tie them together, but the middle legs of the 2 10x10's end up by the car door opening and that's a scratch waiting to happen.

I bought the 2 10x10's at Harbor freight on sale for $79.00 each and that was a great bargain.

I grabbed the 12x12 for $44.00, took it home, put it up, and nothing's wrong with it at all. Apparently, it was an item they had for over 2 years on the shelf and just wanted to get rid of it, hence the $44.00 price.

Wish I could tell you all it's a sale price nationwide, but I just happened to luck out.

Ive been walking around here all day smiling!

Thanks for reading, I don't know anyone else I could tell that would appreciate what a bargain that was.
 
Wow thats a great price. I cant even get them that cheap at my cost. BTW we just started carrying 10x20 pop up canopies. When the weather gets better Ill have pics up of my car under it.

Wow, 10 x 20 pop-up would be heaven. But at that height I'm seeing in your pic, sidewalls might be needed.

I'm looking at vinyl carports, they anchor it down. It's about 10x19, permanent, for 795.00. Don't think the wife will go for it though.

Maybe if I beg. :)

How easy is that to setup? that would be perfect for what I need
 
Old thread I know but instead of me making a new one I figured I'd get this one going again... I need a 10X10 or 10X20 canopy to detail cars under and be able to setup and tear down quickly by myself. How hard is it to set these up by yourself? I have seen some cheaper brands that were just stuck together and without two or even three people you couldn't get the thing put up. I figured if anything I can put one of the legs in the bed of the truck and pull the far corner and such and do it that way but I really need a canopy in the next 2 weeks and need to make sure I buy the correct one the first time.

I have a 10x15 and a 10x20 pop up canopy. I set up the 10x20 when I'm detailing at my house and the 10x15 when I go mobile. The 10x15 is wonderful and saves my a$$ in the Houston heat and couldn't do any correction work without it on sunny days. I can set up the 10x15 in less than 1 minute by myself and take it down in less than 30 seconds if I have to. Usually it takes me a minute and a half. I bought mine locally at H&H Tents and Events for around $750. It has 3 height settings and I can fit a full size SUV under the 10x15, so the 10x20 is more than enough for mobile use. If I were to detail only at home the 10x20 would definitely be my choice. I went through 3 of the Acadamy 12x12 types in 2 months before I sprung for the right one. Those are just not made for commercial use and will get in your way and aggravate you more than anything, especially when you have to move the car around to chase the shade and the poles line up with your car doors. That's my take on it, hope this helps.
