I my quest to clean utterly filthy microfibers i have tried a few different products. My current is 3d Towel Kleen which is an excellent economic product and gets my towels clean. I have noticed lately that they have been feeling a little stiff especially my GG PFM's.
I gave Typhoon a whirl after since I had about 40 towels to my chagrin I had use the entire 4oz bottle. The 3d detergent has no smell witch I thought was normal since everyone preaches to use a free and clear type detergent. I was very happy to find typhoon with a pleasant "clean" cologne type scent. I definitely enjoyed it as the hot water filled the washer basin. I added my towels with washer set to heavy wash with an extra rinse. Typhoon cleaned better than anything I have used before and my towels had a fresh fragrance to them which i really enjoyed. It also restored the soft feeling to my PFM towels
Typhoon calls for more detergent than 3d (2oz per load) but still less than a regular detergent. The consistency was similar to a regular laundry detergent, 3d is more runny. I would use this for the simple fact that it leaves a nice fragrance that does not hinder performance and it leaves my towels feeling softer.
This towel was used to apply Blackfire AIO trim/tire to an engine and wheel well
