Poorboy's vs. Clearkote...which is better??

Well to be quite honest with ya I am a huge poorboys' world products fan, but I am always looking for more when it comes to detailing my Mach 1.

So I was wondering, in your expriences, which do you like better Poorboy's or Clearkote?? Which gives a deeper shine??

Natty's Blue is currently my LSP, would Clearkote Carnuba wax give me a deeper wetter shine?? And one last thing, after using SSR2.5, SSR1 and PwC, EX-P and Natty's Blue, I still have visible spider web scratches and oxidation, would Clearkote products give me a better result??

One last thing, let's say I were to order some Clearkote products, what would be a good way to mix/match the Poorboy's and Clearkote to give a real nice result?? (i.e. Natty's Blue then CMW)??

Thanks

Brent

I don't think there is such thing as the best product line in the world. Each product line has its highs and its lows. For Poorboys, I love NB, NL, TR, SS&S, S&W and PP. Clearkote, I love RMG and Quik Shine.

If you're not getting rid of your defects with PB's, you probably won't get rid of them with Clearkote either. Not saying Clearkote products don't work... they do. The problem PROBABLY lies either in your procedure, buffing equipment, or possible stubborn clearcoat.

Lastly, Clearkote Carnauba Wax gives the deepest finish of any I have tried. NB for example is a very wet, reflective and shiny finish.

I mix and match the two all the time. Poorboy's wash and polishes, Clearkote glazes and Quikshine. I mix and match my LSP all the time from Pinnacle waxes, to S100, NXT to EX-P, Z2Pro to AJ and everything in between.

One of the well worn phrases here is process > product. How have you tried to remove your spider web scratches, by hand or machine? It's really almost impossible to remove defects like that by hand on large areas. Even working by machine, it took me a while to realize that it takes significant pressure with the PC to effect any defect removal.

I have detailed for a while and I tried many products and processes to remove the spider web scratches...there aren't very many of them just some now and then and you have to be looking in a certain light...I guess it is just the fact that I know they are there

I have yet to see a "Perfect" production based paint job. If you want "Perfect" go with a custom paint job.

With that aside, PB SSR2 followed by SSR1. Then EX-P followed by NB. This combo is fool proof, most of the time......lol.
