I looked on the poorboys site and just didnt know really what i needed?! I have the basic stuff off the shelf car wash, wax, wheel cleaner, window cleaner, car vac., tire dressing. I may have left out a few but u get the idea. heres what i plan to order EX Sealant - 16oz SSR1- 16oz Poorboys Professional Polish - 16oz Bold N Bright - 16 oz . let me know if this is about right. I need to get out light scratches of a black 03' model car. I also need some new stuff 4 my new 05' truck i need a clay but i think i might get a little cheaper one. sorry iots so long please let me know.
thanks,
Chris

forgot to say im looking at rotary buffers. I need one that would be forgiving. from member pics i see thats the way i need to go.so if yall know some cheap "stater" ones or just decent that wouls be a great help

Just a suggestion.
Either call Steve, (Poorboy), or post your question in the Poorboy's Forum.
I'm not familiar with all the Poorboy's line so I can't be much help. It did seem to me that the SSR1 and the Pro Polish could be either/or rather than both.
One product I would definitely suggest is the Spray & Wipe. Get a gallon. You won't regret it.

On the subject of rotary buffers, I don't think any of them are forgiving. A random orbital such as the Porter Cable would probably be a better choice if you want forgiving. A rotary is a great tool in the hands of someone that knows how to use it. It is damage waiting to happen for some of us.:D

well i got a 10 in. orbital im looking for something that will take out swirls like my g/f black 2003 mustang w/ 50k miles its had BAD swirls from going through car washs and "waxing her own car" i tried w/ the orbital but it only took out 10% of the swirls. by the way i hate black its the hardest color to wash/wax. BUT it looks so good when its clean! :boohoo

What did you use to try and get the swirls out?
I have swirls on a 88 Mustang GT it white and is very shiny as I used Klasse AIO and Klasse Sealant but after using the two products it shows the blemishes more, scratches and swirls. I will need something that I can remove these imperfections and swirls by hand. Is the Poorbooy SSR 2.5 and 3 recommended for this? I have tried 3m compound and it was useless. I also have some Menzerna Intense and final polish on the way with the Menzerna Power Gloss. :headbang

how did we get to this when we are talking about starter kit's I would suggest ABC to repost your question because you'll never get it answered in here. 10 inch orbital buffer is't going to do anything for swirl removal. Go for a pc and work the heck out of it.. If it's that bad I would see a pro frist and then work it

For a starter kit, what you have looks good to me except you might want ssr2.5 instead of ssr1. 2.5 leaves a nice glossy finish - no hazing. And it's agressive enough to remove light swirls. I love ssr1 as a final polish but I've had little luck removing swirls with it. And you must try S&W. That stuff is a tremendous timesaver. After you get comfortable enough with it to use it on a dirty car - you'll see what I mean by timesaver. I can S&W wash my entire car in the time it takes me just to get out the hose, buckets, mitts and fill up the suds bucket. :bigups
