Poorboys SSR by hand?

I recently asked this question, and it was reccomended to use a micro fiber aplicator or towel for normal swirls. Use terry for deeper ones.
 
I would use a terry cloth. Save your spendy microfiber for removal, they're intended to pick up and hold substances so it's somewhat counterproductive. Also you can get in a buff with a terry but even though MF's are designed not to scratch, they are still polyester/polyamide and if you put too much zest into buffing, even the best towel will scratch!
 
I would use a terry towel folded into quarters. A terry or MF applicator would be secondary options.
