Anyone knows if ssr 2.5 leaves a protection layer behind? I kind of find contradictions around the web

no, it's a polish/swirl remover

if you want a pb polish that leaves protection it's gonna be PWS or PWC or PWC-b

I'll just post this up here as well for future askers =)

Does this leave a protective layer behind? Used it quit a lot, but never givin this any thought, until I read about this on another forum.

Thanks

Sure, SSR-2.5 does not leave behind anything at all. It is what we call in the industry "Body Shop Safe" which means it does not contain any wax, sealants, or silicone. This means it can be used in a Body Shop while painting is going on because the airborne particles will not cause fish eyes in the paint, like a silicone, wax, or sealant would.

When you wipe off SSR-2.5 what you see is what you get there is nothing blocking the correction that you have just done. If you see defects they are still there if you don't they are removed.
