What's the latest on this product? Unlike Boss I don't have a 2 year supply of carwash(Sonax Gloss Shampoo):( :) . So I'll be needing some soon.

it's under testing right now...two versions:D some people who had just ordered products were surprised to find out they were testers:lmfao then again some previous testers were surprised to find a package at their door:bigscream :lol

i cant wait for this stuff.

i holding off ordering NL, B&B, and TR, because i know when i place the order steve will post, "poorboys car shampoo is arriving soon!"

the same thing happened to me w/ natty's and ssr2.5, i placed an order then when i got it a new product was released. :(

Rick,

The low suds/high lubrication wash is looking really good! It does have very nice lubrication, rinses well, seems to clean extremely well, but gently, and "might" even add some gloss. I need to run a side-by-side with Sonax, and check a couple other things................ but it looks very promising!

Ok Dave Thanx. Poorboy do you have a target date as to when this hits the market?

weather permitting, i will be trying both out; low foam on my father's car, and high foam on my car.

Can't give any ideas until i get all my feedback and then create a label:dunno

:lol Thought just hit me, call the first 100 bottles Whaler Wash! :LOLOL Okay don't hate me....

Just finished up testing today and yesterday, along with 2 wheel and tire cleaners. Give me a day or so, and I will post a review with some pics as well. I'll have a chance to use them again tomorrow.

The high lubrication wash was awesome! If I could wish hard enough I'd have a bottle sitting in my garage. I washed my car yesterday for the first time since the Detail Day and the difference between the Poorboy's wash and Meguiar's Gold Class was like night and day. Now there were some differences like the water and the type of wash mitt used, but I could definitely tell the difference.

The Poorboys shampoo really cut down on the wash time. Normally it takes about 8 dips into the bucket to wash the front end of my car. Using the Poorboys wash I did it in about 3 dips. It just slides and slides and slides. The soap really rinses off well too. Very little water is left on the car, thus drying is very easy. I can't wait to get my hands on the soap!

I feel quite special being one of the few who have used this!

I need to write up my input from last Saturday's Detail Day. I've been on vacation since then.

:wait we don't make products that fast...there's more testing to be done, labels to be written and then made, long before production begins....I might be able to have some more samples made and maybe have a few contests;)

I wanted to try both, but only had a chance to do just one- the High Foam version. Did this to my own car. FYI, the car had not been washed in about 2 weeks, and had a light coating of dust and some grime on the tires, wheels and panels. Panels were treated with Wolfgang sealant about 2-3 weeks ago, tires had a coating of BnB about 2-3 weeks ago, and wheels were treated with AIO and KSG more than 2 month ago.

Definitely lots of suds in the bucket, but i did not find the shampoo was very slick feeling. I did not feel comfortable ith that, so I used a bit more shampoo. Even with almost half my sample bottle used, i could not really feel any slickness in the wash.

Shampoo was applied via chenille wash pad. Pad absorbed a lot of the shampoo and i squeezed and gently applied the pad across the panels. After a few swipes, checked the pad, and fouand all this dirt and garbage on the pad. A few shakes in the bucket, and the pad was cleaned up to use again. The pad was beginning to fall apart, so I deceide to use it on the wheels and tires for it's last wash ever. The grime and dust came off really easy, so I didn't bother with the wheel cleaner samples

The sudsing on the panels was modest, but I could see that the shampoo was starting to pool up into beads. I'm thinking this could be a by-product of the Wolfgang that was still on the panels, but I'm not sure.

Rinsing off was easy, and did not take alot of time. This was even without the benefit of a good rinse technique (the hose and nozzle I had access to really sucks, and i could not even get a good low pressure free-flow out of the hose). Water beaded well on panels and wheels, and no sheeting per se'. The tires during wash and afeter the rinse also beaded a bit.

Drying off was interesting. I used 2 ww cloths, one that was damp, and another that was dry to pick up any remaining drops. Initially while wiping off the drops, everything felt slick, even the glass felt slick. However, as I continued, the slickness faded, the wiping seemed to be a bit harder. I followed up with the dry ww towel to see if it was just the damp towel that was over loaded, same result. When I wiped off the wheels, i did smear some of the grime and grease that did not come off in the inital wash, but swithing to a cleaner section of the towel, I managed to clean it right off. The tires seemd to start to dry off all on their own, but I passed the towel over them anyway. I found little to no dirt or residue on the towel after wiping off the tires.

The feel of the panels after the wash is not slick, but a clean, smooth, somewhat grabby feel. It felt almost like the car had been polished with a last step polish like Menzerna FP, or SSR1 to a lesser extent. I can't really say if there are any gloss enhancers in this since there was already Wolfgang on the car. But the car did look shiny, at least what parts i could see clearly (started to get dark and the lighting was no longer there for me to see well).

With all the stuff that is already on the car, I cannot really say that my evaluation is really fair as to what this will or will not do. The only thing i can tell for sure, is that the shampoo does not feel very slick. I would definitely want to try this on a non-treated car to be sure, and be able to give a better evaluation.

I hope I speak for most when I say I'd much rather have a high lubricity soap vs one that just make a lot of bubbles.

My 2 cents:cool

I'd say from early feedback, that's the popular opinion:)

I would agree. But I am wondering how much does lubricity agree with cleaning ability? Are they one and the same, or are they seperate features?

I would rather have a very deep but safe cleaning high lubricity wash than sudsing. Suds for me just indicate where I have passed over the car. I like a very clean wash in generally :D
