Poor Boy's products. What's the difference

Hi,
I have been using PB S&G over Klasse AIO Topped with SG.
I usually use it after washing the car, when drying.

What is the difference between the PB S&G and the QD?

Do you need both?

Thanks

S&G is a quick detailer. It cleans up the water trails after washing the car, and it adds a glossy look to the paint.
QD+ is like a spray wax (IMO). It leaves a protective coating that lasts MUCH longer than typical QD's. It also has cleaners in it. At first, I took cleaners to mean the lubricating kind like in S+W. Steve told me they're more like oxidation cleaners, and QD+ doesn't have as much lubrication as S+W (Obviously...).
Just recently, I decided to test QD+'s cleaning powers. Previously I had used QD+ as a winter booster wax, applied after washing at the "Pay & Spray" bays. My car doesn't get bad enough to noticeably need oxidation removal. Last month I tried some on a black Ford Ranger that hadn't been waxed in 6 years. (except at the swirl-o-matic.) I even tried it by hand. The paint was swirled up and almost to the point of looking dull gray in direct sun. A yellow foam pad and a bit of rubbing and viola! Much better looking! (I'm not saying the swirls miraculously disappeared, but the paint was looking much darker/deeper/shinier!-Let's see a typical QD do that!)

You *can* "need" both, but it would depend on what you are going to be doing. If you don't maintain your car very often, QD+ would likely be a better choice, as it should last longer as well as "touch up" the paint, whereas the S+G works better as a quick boost/gloss enhancement before going to a show/night out/etc. on a well maintained car.

Thanks,
Big Leegr
My car is pretty well maintained and does look great after S&G.
Perhaps as winter comes to Minnesota, I will switch to QD to maintain the finish longer.

Not looking forward to winter, (stuck in MN)
