Hello friends,

I'm from Malaysia. Getting products like Autoglym and Meguiar's are not that cheap due to import fee. In my country, products like Turtle Wax and Polyglaze are popular. Anyone here uses Polyglaze before? If so, what are you opinions on Polyglaze products?

Hi Zey,

I'm from Singapore and may I ask which part of Malaysia you are at?

If you're in JB then coming into Singapore to stock up your detailing supplies will be dandy!

Polyglaze is from Australia and their products are fine, not top of the line but good for the average consumer. Alternatively get Zaino or Mother's product from Singapore.

nice to see the populairy of autopia - its great isnt it??

yes i have used turtle wax - but it not as effective as Blackfire, or myers which are low molecular waxses. - they create one hell of a shine.

Gavinl,

I leave in Selangor, far from Singapore. I can get Meguiar's and Autoglym from my place, but it's quite expensive.

May I know what's the price of a bottle of:

1) Autoglym Super Resin Polish RM39.90

2) Autoglym Paint Renovator RM58.00

3) Meguiar's ClearCoat Body Scrub RM31.00

4) Meguiar's Gold Class Wax? RM74.50

No Zanoi's source available here, if not I sure use...

Here are some Singapore prices to compare:

1) Autoglym Super Resin Polish S$18.90

2) Autoglym Paint Renovator S$22.90

3) Meguiar's Scratch-X S$12.90

4) Meguiar's Gold Class Wax S$24.90

5) 3M High Gloss Wax - $22.90

Ur best alternative is Turtle wax lineup I guess ;)

Thanks for the price list. It is much cheaper to get from Singapore. Might be able to save around RM100 if get whole set. Singapore is always better than Malaysia in terms of the sales of car care and accessories.

Gavinl, thanks for your offer, I think it's quite troublesome for you to ship. Just found out that there's an authorized dealer for Autoglym products at cheaper price. :)

dosent anyone sell them near u ?? Try local garges - someone must have it

Polyglaze "sucks" please dont get it. It may be for the average consumer, but are autopians average car care consumers........no:rolleyes:

Im an aussie, and meguiars and autogylm are reasonable in price, but on the other hand my significant others say i have no comprhension of price.

If i was you, and i was desperate id buy from autopia, you can get everything they waffle (sorry guys) on about, and your car be it proton or porsche will look fantastic.

Cheers,

Myles

Myles, do you know that Proton's paint sucks? They deliver their car without polishing it nicely, can feel the "grit" on the surface. Swirl marks everywhere on the car. Maybe this situation will not occur in Australia because Proton only focus on overseas market. Proton export model has better quality than local model.

Polyglaze is very popular in Malaysia, price is 2-3 times cheaper than Autoglym and Meguiar's. Hope that some distributor will fully advertise Meguiar's products over here...
