PolyCharged '05 Tacoma

Washed with NXT car wash and DP rinseless wash mixed in a foamgun. Clayed with fine Sonus clay. SwirlBuster polish and Swirlbuster pad. Polycharged UPP.

The PolyCharged UPP is amazing. It's crazy slick, and the finish seems to resist swirls better than non-PolyCharged UPP. It seems to leave a real hard, durable finish. Super easy to apply and remove.

That's what most people say about my camper shell. I think that on black paint some accessories look better than they usually would. It's a SnugTop SuperSport. They're pretty slick, as far as camper shells go.

You've got an air source in there? What impact gun is that? :woot2: If so, mucho kudos for that mod!

Appropriate setting for one mean lookin' truck.

Impressed,

Mike

Nice looking Tocoma.. I'll have to send you a picture of mine. I see someone else likes black metallic. How did you get the TRD sticker off the rear quarter panel if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, I installed an on-board air system. I took some pictures for Air Zenith to put on their website. They made the compressor that I'm using. The impact is a 1/2" drive Ingersol Rand with adjustable power settings. I'm working on making a compact airjack out of a rubber suspension air bag. This way I can have a totally air powered system if I need to jack up my truck and change a tire. It can also fill up tires pretty quick after airing them down on offroad trails. And then there's the train horns. Check my CarDomain for more pics of the air system, and a video of the train horns.

Here's a couple pics without the Yakima basket. Sometimes the basket is overkill, so I only use it for hunting trips, and of course it looks cool in pictures.

The sticker comes off easy with a heat gun and fingernails. I took all the emblems off with a heat gun and fishing line. Just slide the fishing line behind the emblem and saw back and forth. It will slice through the foam adhesive. Then just pick and polish off the remaining adhesive.

Great looking truck!!!!!

Keep us up-dated on the durability increase with the UPP/PC mixture.

Make sure you tighten the cap on the PC very well. It does not like air!!!!!

Will do. I also clean the dropper right after I'm done using it. I run a solvent through the glass part. And then dry with a Q-tip. I can see how this stuff would make your wax more durable. It's almost like some kind of fiberglass resin.

UPDATE. PolyCharged UPP is still holding up like new. I've QD'd several times and it shows no marring or microscratches from the towels or dust.

I had no idea Toyota made such a huge truck...that thing looks awesome!

My truck is certainly not stock, so it looks bigger than most Tacomas, but the 05+ Tacomas are bigger all around from the factory than the older Tacomas.

The new Tundras 07 are pretty sweet too. More power than a Hemi Ram.

After a wash and several QDs the wax still looks like it was just applied. Because of the hard finish and the slickness, I believe that dirt is released from the surface easier. My mitt barely got dirty because most of the dirt washed off the surface with my first rinse.

QDing is easy too. Dust wipes off with ease. There's almost no need to use a QD spray.

PolyCharged UPP is the SH*T. :up

BTW, here's a new video I just made of my truck, and my train horns in action. LOL
