Polishing wheel lips

For those who have noncleared lips on their wheels, what is the preferred method of polishing them [assume they are in excellent condition with no curb rash]? Do you use a dremel or some sort of rotary device with a buffing pad?

I've been using Mother's Aluminum and Mag polish by hand and wondered if there was a better way.

I have been using Mother Billet Polish on my HRE's. I find that its much easier and safer to use with a soft MF towel. I would be afraid to use a dremel or something else for fear of scratching the rim.

I've used a 2" and a 3" buffing wheel and electric drill (old junky one that still hangs around after all these years). I usually coat the lip with Mother's Mag or Simichrome, then use the buffing wheel to polish it. Works great and will put a finish that hand applying won't do. You do have to be careful though with the buffing wheel...it can get grabby.
